The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway

This frigid winter has me wishing I were Elsa. She’s a princess, has awesome powers, and [most importantly] immune to the cold. What more could a girl want? However, it’s not the cold that affects me. It is everything that comes with it—the closing of the T, not being able to walk with ease, stores closing early, classes canceled. You get it. I love exploring Boston and this season has blocked me from doing just that.

I was able to get out of my apartment today, promising myself to get work done in the process. I went to one of my favorite places, a palace in my eyes. But after a not-so-long study session at the BPL, I decided to walk around a little. It was then when I realized how beautiful the snow really is. To be honest, I probably have this realization ever winter. But between my frozen toes and the cabin fever, it takes some time to grasp it. I guess you can say winter is like an Instagram filter that displays the city through a different light.
