new foodie spot: pure cold press juice & salad bar

Coolidge corner is of my favorite places in Brookline. They have everything from old movie theaters, great cafes, amazing bagels and falafels. Yet for a while now they have been missing something vital, something so necessary. I’m talking about cold pressed juice, duh. Sure we can all hop on the T and head downtown for some of that or just go to the nearest Whole Foods. But this place provides something different. Something original.

The small restaurant has fresh and yummy cold press juices, along with a great salad bar, hot seasonal items and a helpful staff. You can choose any base for your salad (arugula, kale, etc) then add as many toppings as your heart desires. Everything can be enjoyed there or taken to-go. If you’re looking for something quick an easy, get one of their ready-to-go mason jar salads. You won’t be disappointed. Plus, you can keep that cool mason jar for a later use. (I’m thinking a fun DIY or maybe a reusable tupperware. Anything is possible).

This place is ideal for a quick lunch date, family outing or for sitting down with a computer and getting some work done. I decided to take my book and just enjoy some people watching. The place itself is pretty awesome: the walls are covered in exposed brick and wooden panels. A beautiful long pot filled with basil and rosemary sits right in the middle. The great lighting and modern bright green chairs make everything fresh and inviting.

Also, everything is kosher. Yay! Which also means it closes early on Fridays and all day Saturdays. BUT, it’s open Sun-Thur from 7am-9pm.
