If you’re in need of a major caffeine boost, head over to Ogawa Coffee and get their Signature Drink (pictured here), which includes a small cappuccino and a cold espresso served in a fancy cocktail glass. I went over to get a cup of joe a while ago, when it first opened, but completely forgot to post about it. Oops, sorry guys. Their Signature Drink was ideal, but the coffee overdose definitely made my heart beat a little faster than usual. So watch out.
But in any case, here’s the scoop about this new place. Ogawa is an artisan coffee shop that started in Kyoto, Japan in the 1950’s. Their Boston location is their first international shop. Honestly surprised it wasn’t New York. But boy am I glad they chose Downtown Boston instead.
The place is located in the heart of Downtown, behind the Old South Meeting House, in a all white and modern corner store with windows up to the ceiling. They have a couple small tables and long wooden benches for optimal seating. Ideal for a coffee break or a place to get some solid work done. Just a warning though: their free wifi was a little slow when I went, so either bring something that doesn’t require much of it or hope to G-d they’ve fixed it by now.
Ogawa Coffee USA is opened Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 7:00pm. 10 Milk Street Boston, MA 02108
